Joining the Committee
Emley Show would not have existed and grown over the years without its team of volunteer committee members, which over the last hundred years has seen many changes. Whenever new members join they bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm. We are always looking for new blood; new ideas; and younger people with loads of energy to drive the show forward for many more years to come. It is a great place to meet a wide variety of people and be part of a key event in Emley and the surrounding locality.
There are roles to fit most people’s abilities and interests, from event organisers to publicity generators, well-organised administrators, stewarding many of the exhibits, and of course, actual physical manpower . Emley Show has a great community spirit, full of enterprising people, but, we still need fresh ideas and loads of energy – and it is essential that we keep this wonderful event thriving for the next hundred years!!
For more information, use the Contact Us page to contact the Emley Show Secretary – Sue Britton.
Emley Show Society is proud to provide support for students, who are undertaking courses in Agriculture, Horticulture and related subjects. In the past, we have sponsored students taking HND‟s and Btec National Diplomas in Agriculture, Dairy Herd management and also Degrees in Environmental Science. We can help with transport or accommodation costs whilst you are studying, or help with the cost of textbooks – we will consider any applications.
